“I Wrote That One Too…” – An Evening With Steve Dorff
Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee Steve Dorff has spent five decades writing the songs you already know by heart. A three-time Grammy and six-time Emmy nominee with over 40 BMI awards, Dorff has penned hits for Barbra Streisand, Kenny Rogers, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, George Strait, and Garth Brooks- including “Through the Years,” “I Cross My Heart,” “I Just Fall in Love Again,” and “Every Which Way But Loose.”
His work spans film and television, too, with music for Growing Pains, Murphy Brown, Murder, She Wrote, and Reba, plus songs and scores for Rocky IV, Pure Country, Tin Cup, and Bronco Billy. His songs have charted in five consecutive decades and been recorded by more than 250 artists. Most recently, Dorff has taken a giant leap into his first love, musical theater, with two projects for the stage: Josephine (The Josephine Baker Story) and Pure Country: The Musical.
