The Imperial is pleased to present two critically acclaimed independent films from Augusta native, Maurice Johson (Chicago Fire, Hawaii Five-O). Two films for one price. You get to watch one or both with a brief intermission in between.
Film 1, 3pm: The Crickets Dance won 13 film festivals domestically and internationally. Maurice and Kristen Renton (Sons of Anarchy) were both nominated for best Lead Actor and Actress for their performances. Synopsis: Southern lawyers Andrew McGrath and Angie Lawrence have been seeking the keys to their past and their future most of their lives. Unbeknownst to either of them each has the piece to the puzzle the other is seeking. They’re just two people searching for the truth and hoping to find love.
Film 2, 5pm: Jones Plantation is Maurice’s latest film release. Synopsis: You can control a man with brute violence but you can never truly OWN a man until he’s convinced that your word is law, and obedience is a virtue. A film destined to be a cult classic. This film will blow your mind and may have you questioning many things in the world we live in.
