Poison Peach Film Festival XVI

Poison Peach has always primarily been a showcase for Augusta-area talent, and has always focused on films created by Augusta-area filmmakers, both shorts and features.  It is a great place to meet regional film artists who are out there getting projects made.

The program starts Saturday January 4th at 7pm with a block of short films, most of which are horror.  At 8pm, the remastered, re-edited and expanded director’s cut of “Cabaret Diabolique” will be shown.  “Cabaret Diabolique” features two internationally-known horror film stars, Linnea Quigley and Camille Keaton.  Linnea has done 150 horror films and is best known for “Return of the Living Dead”.  Camille is best known for “I Spit on Your Grave”.  Guests of Honor at the Imperial screening will be co-leads in the film, Robert Seawell IV, Jezibell Anat and Joseph Zuchowski.  All three reside in Augusta.  The director, Christopher Forbes, will also be attending.

The program for Sunday is the world premiere of the feature “Treasure Train”, from the book by Bob Young, former mayor of Augusta and a news anchorman here in Augusta for many years.  He also plays a major role in the film.  Mr. Young will be attending the screening, which is a matinee screening and takes place at 3pm, Sunday the 5th of January.  Most of the cast and crew will be attending this screening.
