Volunteer Usher Program
Imperial Theatre Volunteer Ushers represent The Imperial Theatre as ambassadors of good will. We put the well being of our patrons first and foremost. Your polite and courteous service will provide our patrons with an enjoyable experience while attending events.

Who Can Be a Imperial Usher?

  • Anyone 15 years of age or older is welcome to usher at the Imperial.
  • Ushers need excellent people skills, the ability to stand for extended periods of time and climb stairs, willingness to work as a team and a dedication to patron service.
  • Each volunteer is required to complete the Volunteer Usher Orientation Class prior to ushering. Volunteer orientation consists of an information and procedure session followed by a detailed tour of the theatre.
  • Imperial Theatre Volunteer Ushers represent The Imperial Theatre to our patrons. Our Volunteer Ushers’ polite and courteous service will provide our patrons with an enjoyable experience while attending events. In order to maintain our professionalism, we ask that volunteers keep their commitment.

Requirements:
Must be able to work upstairs and downstairs, and have good communication skills. Effective September 1, 2004, volunteers must wear white shirts and black pants or skirts. All shirts and blouses must be tucked in. Shoes must be solid black, no open front or back.

Each class will begin at 6:30 pm. Space is limited to 50 participants.
