What better way for the Augusta Players to bring their season to a close than with the stage production of this timeless classic. Happily, the Players’ production coincides with the movie version of Frank Baum’s story, which has captivated the young and the young at heart for over 60 years. Once again, Dorothy and Toto will dance down the yellow brick road to discover the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion, and to defeat the Wicked Witch of the West. Along the way, enjoy memorable songs such as, “Over the Rainbow,” ”We’re Off To See The Wizard,” “Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead,” and many more. Don’t miss this opportunity to spend quality time with your entire family!

This very popular opera was first performed in 1893 and unfolds the tragedy of a jealous husband, his wife and her lover in a Commedia dell’ Arte troupe. A traditional tale about love and betrayal Pagliacci contains many beautiful and familiar melodies.
