The Augusta Players will celebrate the month of romance with one of the biggest hit musicals of all time, Hello Dolly! Winner of ten Tony Awards, this delightful musical-comedy played on Broadway for 2,844 performances. The story centers on America’s most beloved matchmaker Dolly Levi, who decides that it is time to find a match of her own. The romantic misadventures that follow comprise the special magic of one of the best known and most popular Broadway musicals of all time.

Gone with the Wind

Augustans are invited to join the Ninetieth Anniversary celebration of downtown Augusta’s historic Imperial Theatre. The Imperial is commemorating this milestone event with a special screening of the most popular movie of all time, Gone With the Wind. The winner of 10 Academy Awards ©, including “Best Picture,” Gone with the Wind was first shown in Augusta at the Imperial on January 31, 1940. The film’s historic World Premiere had taken place on December 15, 1939 at Loew’s Theater in Atlanta.
For this special screening, the doors to the Imperial open at 6:00 p. m. The evening’s festivities commence at 7:00 with opening remarks by Augusta broadcasting legend Jim Davis, one-time host of “The Early Show” on WRDW-TV. Everyone who attends Gone With the Wind in period dress will be welcomed into the theater in true Hollywood style via a glamorous red carpet. A limited number of seats have been reserved for former employees of all of Augusta’s historic theaters, the Imperial, Miller, Modjeska and Rialto. They need only identify themselves on arrival with paid ticket for this special seating.
All tickets are General Admission seating priced at $6.00, or a $20.00 V.I.P. price that includes a pre-screening reception at The City Club, located directly across the street from the theatre at 724 Broad St.

Bluegrass musician, songwriter, bandleader, and multi-instrumentalist, Rhonda Vincent is holder of a #1 album, not to mention 4 weeks as #1 on the hot Billboard Chart and #1 Bluegrass Music Profiles. Albums Back Home Again arrived in 2000 and The Storm Still Rages in 2001. The International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) awarded her its female vocalist award in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003. She also captured the IBMA's entertainer of the year award in 2001. One Step Ahead, which features many songs she co-wrote as well as a duet with Krauss, was released in 2003. Recent releases include "All American Bluegrass" (2006) and "Good Thing Going" (2008)
